«European resource saving trends in Computer Science teacher training» (Erasmus+ Jean Monnet)
In July 2017, the Institute of Information Technology and Telecommunications of the North Caucasus Federal University won the grant: the Erasmus + Program (Jean Monnet Foundation) from the European Union. In total, 8,331 applications were submitted (including 4 applications from our university staff) to the European Commission (Executive Agency for Education, Audiovisual and Culture (EACEA)) in February 2017.
The purpose of the project is the introduction into the curriculum of bachelors of computer science teachers the unique educational module "European trends in resource-saving for training of computer science teachers".
The module is aimed at implementing of the students readiness (future computer science teachers) to resource-saving activities, to introduce in the educational process of schools innovative education methods based on resource-saving technologies and green IT, which are practiced in the European Union.
The realization of the module will allow to acquaint students and teachers of NCFU and other schools with European experience in the field of resource-saving, to introduce European trends and culture of resource-saving technologies into the educational process of institutions in the region.
Duration of the project is 3 years (2017-2020).
